Nearly 20 years ago, VP of Construction Matt Ringer was an assistant superintendent helping oversee the installation of the 60-ton HVAC unit at our corporate headquarters in #Scottsdale. Now, he’s back at it, only this time, helping oversee its replacement. After two decades of keeping our home office comfortable, the original unit has officially retired. Trane served as our subcontractor to install the new 60-ton unit, giving our headquarters a fresh start for the next 20 years. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞.

This year’s focus has been civil construction, sharing real-world lessons learned, work sequencing strategies, and the tools it takes to run safe, efficient projects from start to finish. The day also marked the rollout of the @safirst_safety_consulting ONE app. Built by Safirst after we asked for a centralized hub for our safety documentation, it now houses everything in one place: weekly site inspections, SDS, our safety manual, toolbox talks, and training certificates. It also gives our team access to a full library of trade-specific safety trainings. One app. One source of truth. A big step forward for how we manage #safety across every jobsite. 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐞’𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭. Construction is starting soon on The Lakefront at Scottsdale, a mixed-use redevelopment on the lake in the heart of #McCormickRanch. The first phase transforms 60,000 SF of the former Forever Corporate Plaza into upscale dining, high-end retail, wellness concepts, and Class A office space. Signed tenants already include La La Land Cafe, V Modern Italian, SUSHISAMBA, and Frost Gelato. Interior demolition begins September 24, with phase one targeted for completion next fall. 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝟖𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐒𝐅 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥. Encanto Storage is complete. A 3.78-acre vacant parcel is now a modern self-storage facility with multiple single-story buildings and a 1,350 SF rental office serving as the hub for operations and customer service. Straightforward on paper, layered in the field. Large retention tanks running through the center aisles of the buildings meant our team had to strategically plan site logistics around heavy equipment limitations while keeping vertical construction on schedule. Working directly with the civil engineer, our team developed and executed a plan that kept the site moving safely and efficiently. 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 @azcountryclub! Construction is underway on the Phase 1 Clubhouse Renovation at Arizona Country Club; a 24,000 SF transformation designed to elevate the member experience while honoring the traditions that make the Club home.   Alongside @dpaarch and @studio.v.interiors, the project reimagines the entry and reception, lounge areas, and the main dining space with seamless indoor-outdoor flow. A reconfigured patio brings linear fireplaces, heated umbrellas, and panoramic Camelback Mountain views.   The scope also includes modernized men’s and women’s locker rooms featuring wellness and recovery amenities like hot and cold plunges, an infrared sauna, steam room, and red-light therapy.   We’re honored to be working alongside #ArizonaCountryClub on this project!
𝗔𝗦𝗨 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲. The Marshall Tempe is complete. A 325,700 SF luxury student living community rising seven stories on just 1.4 acres, with 188 units and 14,000 SF of amenity space. Delivered on schedule and in time for students to move in for the upcoming school year. Getting here meant getting creative with logistics from day one. With almost no room to work from the ground, our team used 12 hydraulic scaffolds around the building and coordinated daily to keep every trade moving in sync. Off-hour concrete pours, tower crane assembly, and material deliveries were all sequenced with neighboring property owners to keep the site clear and the schedule on track. The exterior was 90% fiber cement siding, a finish rarely used at this scale in Arizona. That meant over 170,000 lineal feet of aluminum trim, custom cut and installed with specialty fasteners individually painted to match. Every detail dialed in.
