Heard Museum Renovation and Expansion

A gift shop renovation transforming the facility into a Southwestern gallery blending regional craft traditions with contemporary retail function. Construction scope included custom millwork featuring reclaimed wood and hand-carved details, barrel-ceiling interiors with integrated lighting systems, and Saltillo tile installations requiring specialized trades.

The project integrated an outdoor sculpture garden and dedicated textile exhibition space, creating distinct zones for merchandise display and cultural programming. Site work coordinated hardscape elements with existing landscape features while interior renovations maintained the building's architectural character. High-end finish standards and careful material selection deliver an authentic retail environment where construction craftsmanship reinforces the cultural narrative of the merchandise itself.
