The Ak-Chin Sanitation Expansion project included the construction of a 3,000 SF pre-engineered metal workshop next to the existing sanitation facility. The new building was equipped with an automotive lift large enough for a dump truck, overhead crane and new maintenance equipment. A 750 SF extension to the breakroom and a CMU bathroom were added to the existing building. Improvements to the six-acre site included pole lights, carport lighting, new retention area with drywells and rip rap, new parking lot for large equipment, new back entry gate and track for the bulldozer and a new carwash shade canopy.
